About This Project

Darren talks about the inspiration behind OWN Church that started as a boy. In the ’90s on a trip to Sweden, he heard God speak to him regarding the condition of church attendance in America. That voice instructed Darren to see a unique model of church, one with community concern, spiritual authority, strong emphasis on family and meaningful mandate. In recent years, these words took on profound meaning and shape. The ministry of One Word Now was launched in 2005 and has grown to become OWN Church.
